My supervisor has me completely figured out. I don't think I've been quite this transparent to any of my previous bosses. Here's a conversation we had today after I sent an email to his boss and copied him so he'd know I'd done what he asked.
Sup: Very nice job, Lisa. You deserve a gold star.
Me: Do you have gold stars? Because that could be a really good motivator for me.
Sup: I know.
Me: And I'm only half kidding.
Sup: I know. I seem to remember you mentioned it in your interview.
Me: I did?
Sup: Yes, I think what you said was "hi, I like gold stars and Harry Potter."
Yeah. I'm basically a lap dog. It's kind of shameful how much I love praise.

So my brother is saving up money to bring that Russian woman to the states. He intends to pay for her visa, passport, and airfare. And I'm still 99.99999999999% sure this will not end well. He sent me these pictures of her that she sent him. All of them were taken by someone other than this woman, and I can't help but wonder who's behind the camera. She's rather scantily clad in a couple of the pictures. Just kind of makes me think they were taken by a boyfriend.
And why did my brother share such pictures with me? He's socially clueless. I know I've mentioned that before. He even posted the pictures on his Facebook for the whole world to see. Thankfully, he's taken some of the more risque pictures down now.
But, yeah. I was a little less concerned when all he was buying was a non-refundable airline ticket. Now it's the visa and the passport, too, and she's telling him she's required to buy the airline ticket herself. So basically he'll just be sending her a few thousand dollars. Brilliant.
