Oh hell yeah.

What I really, really need is for that leash-and-collar visual in my brain to be translated into reality. Barring that, this will do perfectly. Don all unconcerned, and Billy attempting intimidation, and just the whole flow of the relationship.

Yup. Perfect.

Huh, now there's a first: you beat me to the first comment! I've never had anyone ever review that quickly before.

As for the image, what can I say? Completely unrepentant. I knew I'd send some people there but went with it anyway.
As for translating it into reality, well, I've already decided that Family Secrets will stay as I originally intended it to; namely as a gen series. That's how it started and what I advertized it as, so I refuse to change it.
That said, I will be doing a secondary side-series type thing (clear on what I'm working on, aren't I?) that will be slash. I'd just decided not to do it when rubynye sent my muse on quite the trip by sending me a slash fic cookie. Apparently that's all my muse needed to go there.

So, eventually, is the answer. I need to get quite a bit further in this series first, though, to reach that point. But I am writing quite a bit of the other series at the present so once I can start posting it, there'll be quite a few pieces ready.

Thanks for the review!

I guess I just turned on to LJ at precisely the right moment then :)

And please, this is awesome as it is. (Because how could Wolf!Billy NOT be awesome?) I can't wait to see more and find everything out, and now that you're saying there'll be a side-slash-thing, that's just clearly icing on the cake. I look forward to any and all future posts of this!

Thanks!

I'm glad people like this 'Verse so much. I hadn't originally intended for it to be more than a single drabble, it's just completely snowballed out of all control!

This drabble is, as I'm sure you can tell, set a lot closer to Family Secrets than The Other Side of Midnight. By this point, Don and Billy are getting along much better again, to the point where Don sees nothing in mercilessly teasing Coop any chance he gets.

And trust me, the whole collar and leash thing will come up again in a future drabble or short story! Much to Billy's dismay, I'm sure.

Unfortunately the next drabble or fic may take a bit longer as I don't have it ready for the betas yet. Speaking of which, I'd like to thank aleo_70 and fredbassett for their wonderful assistance as always. You guys rock!

If you want to see it that way.

Did you get the PM I sent you? Your cookie sparked the muse and she kidnapped me for just over a week. As a result, there will be a secondary side series to this one that's slash (and just when I'd decided not to do it!). But this one will remain gen.

It's all your fault.

I didn't get it, alas! The gremlins must have eaten it.

I am trying very hard to be sorry, but it's just not working. *great big grin*

Lol!

Well, I can tell you that you really threw my muse for a loop. She was totally, completely and utterly hijacked and simply refused to be distracted from her goal for any reason whatsoever.

In fact, the day it took hold, I wrote most of 17 drabbles and started 2 longer pieces in this new (and currently still nameless) series. I couldn't even convince her to let me type up The Other Side of Midnight or anything else I'd written on the flights to/from China.

Therefore: You. Are. A. Bad. Influence.
Really.

Eee! Yay for another installment so quickly. Boo that it won't be sliding into slash. Yay for the mental imagery and the sheer *fun* of this. I can just totally picture the whole scene in my head. Love Don teasing Billy and being totally unintimidated by his alpha power play *g*

I said this series wouldn't go there, but the side series will. I just started this as gen and advertized it as such.

I'm glad you liked it so much. I had a blast writing it, picturing Don and poor Billy. Billy will just have to make sure to get his partner back somehow.
