My latest Funko arrived this week. It’s The Child (aka Baby Yoda until someone reveals that little critter’s name) from The Mandalorian. I actually bought two so that I could bring one to work. He’s so cute! I might have to bring home a Funko or two from work. It might be getting a little out of hand…

Summer is upon us! It’s a strange sort of summer without baseball to watch on tv or concerts to attend or fireworks to oooh and aaah over on the hillside behind my cousin’s house. Nature doesn’t care that we should social distance, wear masks, wash our hands all the time. No, the sun keeps shining, the days are longer, the air is hotter.

The weather is heating up. We’re going to have triple digits the next several days and I am not ready for it. I was really digging the cooler weather last week. Alas! Thank goodness for a/c, I tell ya.

It’s that time of year when you’re not sure what day of the week it is. Or at least for me. I decided that instead of one whole big chuck of time off during winter break, I’d make two long weekends of five days each. As I begin this, I’m at the first day of my second long weekend.

The weather was a little wild, a little stormy this past week. It was only a four day work week but it felt a little long but not because most of our building was at a conference. There was a sort of quiet to the office that helped with the monotony of the work.
