Taking a page from somebody else's book...or journal, so to speak.

A very interesting game/writing thing by writingknight, who turned out to be one of the most interesting of my journal acquaintances. Well, do this at your own leisure.

1. Leave me a comment saying, "Interview me."
2. I respond by asking you five personal questions so I can get to know you better.
3. Update your LJ with the answers to the questions.
4. When others comment asking to be interviewed, ask them five questions.

1. What's your favorite fairy tale, and why?

I guess it going to sound funny, but Alice in Wonderland and Through the Looking Glass. I'm sure every kid's had their share of fables and fairy tales, but Alice's feels much more intent and I think any kid growing up in the world can identify with. I think when you grow up and you see how the world is moving, everything looks so bizarre and ethereal that you feel a little like Alice. As you get older, I think you lose that feeling and become a part of the madness yourself.

2. Have you always had strange dreams? Or just since you got here?

Right before I got here actually. They're actually one of things I'd rather get my mind off of, but I did agree to answer this honestly, so...they deal a lot with me being enveloped in darkness. This isn't just "I can't see" darkness either. It feels like the kind that could actually blot out the existence of what you were and leave a kind of shell behind.
But I don't know what you'd call a shell that has lost its flair of life and spirit.

3. Do you like music? If so, what's your favorite song/piece?

If I wanted to be juvenile, I'd say the latest piece of garbage radio play pumped out, but now that we're in a different world, my perspective changes to music that have actually just kept with me for a long time. In that case: Swan Lake: Act 2: No. 10 - Scene: Moderato. I love the beautiful sadness of the music, and it damn near brings me to tears every time I hear it. When I think of a certain person I care about who suffers, though, its Mozart's Lacrymosa from his Requiem. Hmm. I really should pick happier songs.

4. In terms of the weather, what's the ideal day for you?

Sun! I'm really going to miss the old Vanaheim weather!

5. What's your favorite color?

I'm going to have to say orange. I like yellow and red, and I feel like orange is between them both: neither too light nor too dark.

1) What's the best way to wake up in the morning?

One of the best ways to wake up is after a night of pleasant dreams, feeling well rested without aches and pains, and positive thoughts before you start your day.

2) If you could live anywhere, where would it be?

Spain, I think. It’s a very exotic place with good food, a nap in the middle of the day, and full of places of culture and antiquity.

3) How do you like to spend rainy days?

I spend it with a cup of cocoa, some pleasant music, and a special someone to think about as I rest.

4) Is there anything that can always make you laugh, no matter what?

Hmm, that’s a tough one (I don’t really laugh too much a lot of the times). OH! Actually, there is something: I have a new friend Misha, and she’s really cute in a clueless kind of way, but very sweet. You remind me of her a little. She makes me laugh, but she’s better at making me smile too.

5) And, um, what's your name? (Mine is Ahiru!)

Nice to meet you! My name is Valerie!

1.What's your favorite memory?

Huh? Favorite memory? Good one: I’d have to say one where I was helping out a “friend” of mine when we were running away from a crazy guy who was hunting us down. We weren’t really good friends at the time, but helping each other out turned out to be the high point that day, and I really got to let go of some of the anger I had.

2. Where are you from?

From some place called AmityPark. Famous for its ghosts and ghost hunters.

3. Uh... you said we all have theories why we're in Paixao. What do you think?
I’m not sure why other people are here, but I think I’m learning why I’m here. See, something happened back in my town to somebody I cared about. I vowed to find him and help him no matter what: and then something happened and I came here. There are two theories as how I got here:

1) Somehow, I think my friends heart and mine are connected. When I heard his heart crying out, mine answered him and brought me here to help him.

2) When I vowed to help him, something heard me, and brought me here to find him. In exchange, I have to do something for them…but I don’t know what that is. I wonder if I’m actually going to LIKE what it is they ask me for.

4. ... Do you believe in angels and demons?

You know, that’s really funny. Before Paixao, I would have said no. Having come across an angel and something very much like a demon, I’d have to say I definitely do now.

5. What's something you wouldn't want to do?

Considering what I’ve been through…I’d say the thing I don’t want to do is give up being me.

1. What do you think of Paixao so far?

Right now, I think its a weird and dangerous place when it comes to the people that are your enemies. As far as actually making friends here though, I think its far easier. You have people coming in from everywhere, not sure why they've come but sticking it out as much as possible.

2. Favorite type of clothes?

I don't know if I have a favorite. I like my yellow shirt with my orange skirt and all, but I'm always up for wearing something different too. Actually, I'm looking into doing that today!

3. Who do you love?

That's kinda personal Um, I'd say I love anyone who can make me smile, or has that special something that makes you want to stick by them, no matter what.

4. What always makes you happy?

Making sure that a person that hurts others is punished always makes me happy. Oh, and getting out of nasty weather. That helps too.

5. Do you handle pain well?

Considering I was just on the receiving end of that, yeah, I'd say I handle pain OK.
