[back in DC]
After getting in touch with my boss in VB, and it seems there's not much more work until September, so I followed the demands of my wallet and headed back to DC for another few days of work. So I'm sitting with Nathan & Lisa, drinking a few beers, and catching up emails.
I went to see my grandmother this morning, and I'm glad I did. She actually woke up today and for about a minute or two I think she knew who I was. It was still really hard, but I would have regretted not saying goodbye.
I miss Rick like whoa. The good news is that since I'm out of work next week, I can head to Blacksburg with him for a few days while he does some research. He's also teaching a class while he's there, which I'm totally gonna crash, so I can finally see "Professor Wilder" in his element. Totally hot, eh?
