The Emotional Purging; or, The Sum of My Life Thus Far

So as I'm sitting in bed with my latest bout of bronchitis, I decided to sit down and finish writing out some thoughts that have been floating around my consciousness for the last few months. This is a little disjointed, I'll admit, and a VERY long read ( Read more... )

For the record I am trying to undermine your business...

And you missed "Bands hating DJs because they cut off the mikes mid show!"
...
Oh wait that's a legit complaint, sorry Unto Ashes. (I swear the sound guy told me to do it!)

I miss the good ol' days when you knew when it was personal. Not only would someone start an event on the same night, they'd stand out front of you club handing out free passes for their place!

*sigh*

Kids these days, with all this infering and guessing about who has it in for you. If you're gonna be a haterbe up front about it!

I remember that night, because the lead singer of unto ashes was yelling at me for 45 minutes, making me miss half of my DJ set that night.

Hahaha, well yes, I didn't meant to include those who really are out to get other people in my generalizations, lol.

Did that really happen? Yikes.

We were less subtle back then. shadow27 April 10 2007, 20:17:39 UTC

Yeah, back when I was ding Roxy Ress. We got them back by giving people a dollar off admission in exchange for the free passes.

It's funny the people who were my "enemies" back then later became my really solid friends. And the people I was friends with I avoid like the back-stabbing plague they became.

Yep, saw that this morning, and added ya back! Hope you're feeling a little bit better from this weekend. (And I still think that picture from Ascension is classic, lol.)

That *is* a goofy picture. :)

In regard to some of your observations on "love and acceptance", I guess I have to pipe up:

Some people have, for lack of a better word, "callings". Said "callings" can infinitely impact the integrity of any love life that one can have- depending on how one's partner perceives it. One with a "calling" can put 101% of what one considers to be "a good effort" into a relationship, but will always be sidetracked by their endeavors.

I've mulled that around in my head for the last 24 hours, and it's made me feel good about the decision I made over the weekend.

Namaste.

I can definitely understand that based my own attempts of having relationships with men who didn't understand a damn thing about my career, and therefore couldn't grasp why I needed to be out of town so much, or why I couldn't conform to the 9 to 5 lifestyle, or why I was never free for a date on the weekend...
