So as I'm sitting in bed with my latest bout of bronchitis, I decided to sit down and finish writing out some thoughts that have been floating around my consciousness for the last few months. This is a little disjointed, I'll admit, and a VERY long read ( Read more... )

That *is* a goofy picture. :)

In regard to some of your observations on "love and acceptance", I guess I have to pipe up:

Some people have, for lack of a better word, "callings". Said "callings" can infinitely impact the integrity of any love life that one can have- depending on how one's partner perceives it. One with a "calling" can put 101% of what one considers to be "a good effort" into a relationship, but will always be sidetracked by their endeavors.

I've mulled that around in my head for the last 24 hours, and it's made me feel good about the decision I made over the weekend.

Namaste.

I can definitely understand that based my own attempts of having relationships with men who didn't understand a damn thing about my career, and therefore couldn't grasp why I needed to be out of town so much, or why I couldn't conform to the 9 to 5 lifestyle, or why I was never free for a date on the weekend...

I think having said attitude will also help make me more "universally compassionate" as opposed to having someone making me share their point of view continuously- and chastising me when I have a different opinion.

There's also a good deal of people out there that aren't necessarily grounded to a career, and can float about as their whim may dictate- and can't understand why someone may have extra demands on their time other than their "day job".
