Halloween weekend is always exciting, and this was no exception (though it was less exciting than my hallowens with my chickadees)
The first and least relevant thing, is that t snowed for the first time this year over the weekend (on saturday) it inly lasted maybe 1 hour, and melted by that night, but it was a good bit of snow and looked really pretty. Luckily today its 60 and not 20 degrees (which is what I thought it would be when I saw the snow over the weekend)
Second thing also does not have a whole lot to do with Halloween. I got pulled over by the po-po (Suz-Bob). The only reason that was an issue, is that my drivers license has been suspended for over a year, and expired for over 6 mo. I still drive all the time (It was suspended when I drove here from Florida, and when I drove to Pennsylvania, and I drive every week etc...) I turned right on red where I wasn't supposed to, and the cop was right there on the corner, I even saw him when I turned. He immediately put on his lights, and I almost threw up. I called my step-dad because I don't know what they do when they catch driving with a suspended license, but I figure if nothing else they don't let you drive home so maybe I'd need a ride (I called him 'cause I knew he wouldn't freak out or be mad since he commits a lot of traffic infractions). When he asked for my license I put on my most innocent face (which I think is pretty innocent looking) and told him I didn't have it because I just stepped out for one minute, and left my purse at home (I correctly thought it would go worse if I showed it to him so that he could tell that instant that its expired). So I gave him the registration, and he left and when he came back he gave me a lecture on having my license with me at all times, and on getting a Mass. license (I told him I had a Florida one) and let me go. Just then my step-dad arrived, but luckily I didn't need him. So that was pretty scary and it realy motivated me to get my license thing straightened out so I'll try to do that soon.
Now on to Halloween
Friday (I was a flapper, short black strapless dress, awesome make-up etc...): My school had a halloween function (at a bar of course) and they had free drinks in the beginning, so we started the evening off there. I had a drink the size of my head (I actually shared it with a friend) It tasted just like a juice box, but by the time we finished it I could feel it. The place was cool because they had Miller High Life on tap (the champagne of beers). Good times dancing and drinking with my classmates. Later on we headed to a bar/club in Allston (the Great Scott). It was by no means early when we got there (the T was packed with drunk people, which was kind of fun) but it was still pretty empty, however, by the time we left it was packed. So when we got there there weren't too many people, and nobody was dancing. We decided to break the ice and started dancing, we had the whole dance floor to ourselves for a good while (which is way more fun that I would have thought). Before we got there I wasn't so sure about the music, but it ended up being great.
Saturday (this is the night I got pulled over, I was on my way to the party, and it was 11:30 and so I was wearing my costume when I got pulled over, I was a boy): My roommate's friends had a Halloween party. Their parties are always awesome for the following reasons: 1) All her friends are really friendly and chatty, so you never feel left out or get bored 2) A ton of good food 3) Their parties aren't stand-around-and-drink-beer parties, they're we-got-a-DJ-and-everyone-is-dancing-parties 4) A lot of her guy friends think I'm cute, so I get a lot of compliments and offers to dance etc. So the dancing was awesome, and I was sooo flattered by all the attention I got from the boys there, which I thought was kind of strange because I was dressed like a boy (but my roommate said I didn't look like a boy at all, which was kind of disappointing, and that I looked really cute).
Both of my costumes were reeeaaaally cute, and I was only slightly hung-over in the mornings, got tons of great dancing in, did zero homework, did not get caught driving without a license, it was a good weekend!
