So do not have anything to say, or have too much to say. Not sure which. Work is driving me crazy. I'm still a temp, so I could bail off this sinking ship quite easily, but I do find the characters entertaining, and I'm really just interested in sticking around to see what happens next. Even if what happens next is Val pulls out her hair after being forced to book flights and hotels on overmaxed credit cards, fax morgage papers, play ditzy receptionist and lie to Marketing Managers of major corporations and skip lunch.

In better news, I learned a second kata today. I am very happy with Karate so far, though it is clearly more than just a fitness activity.

More cousins arrived! And there was much celebration, with lemon tarts (the tart-er the better) and marshmellow snowmen. Tomorrow we are planning an outing, which may turn into an adventure. You can never be sure when there are four MacDonald girls in a car. The only guarantee is giggles. Also, we will attempt to find pie. Because November is (un)Official Pie Month, and we have begun our life work of developing a pie philosophy (actually, I'm pretty sure we'd started this philosophy long ago. Emily has had it since infancy. But now it has been publicly declared) and bringing it to the masses. Move to your own meringue!!

No word on the eye yet. Follow up with the retina specialist on Monday. Will keep you better posted.

I have dived (shallowly) into NaNoWriMo and am attempting to write a fluffy teen romance/historical/mystery. Or something. Nothing really deep, just something to get me back in the writing game. Please bug me about this incessantly through November, and I am not exactly on track to make the 50,000 word winner's circle.
