In which Jess is mostly hungover
Protein Structure, Function and Evolution is not my friend. This is upsetting, since the material actually seems quite interesting. Alas, if only I understood it...
Today I walked the dog. It was sunny and lovely. I wastched a robin swearing violently at two other robins through the medium of song. Most poetic. We heard some mice. Or possibly voles. Maybe shrews. They squeaked and rustled in the leaves. Also saw some squirrels. The baby one was ever so good at running up trees, I think he will go far in his squirrel-life. Walking in the sun made my face go all smiley. Mickey did not seem to appreciate it as much as me, most likely because he is black and double-insulated. Should probably groom him at some point.
Rus supplied some particularly poisionous cocktails at the Riverside last night. Apparently when the bar man is your friend you must drink exotic mystery colours that are made of alcohol. There are both good and bad sides to this. Managed to sleep through most of the morning urrrgghh feeling, hooray! We did not win the quiz. Would probably have done much better if our team was more sober, although more wine was the last thing we needed by the end of it.
Tonight there shall be more pubbage.
