The Jack-o-Lanterns Were Created by Man...
I haven't posted anything of substance in a while, have I? I don't really know why... just haven't felt very clever lately, I suppose.
Had a lovely evening last night. thismightbejess and iresprite came over (even though it wasn't a Veronigalostican night! shocking!) and we did fun fall things, which I had been very much in the mood for all weekend. On Saturday torrential rain prevented my family from going to the local parade/downtown trick-or-treating, and though it was still delightful to see my nieces and nephews in costumes (pictures soon!) it was disappointing to be stuck indoors the whole day. So our festivites last night were particularly seasonable and charming! There was a country walk in high winds, molasses cookies made from scratch, the mulling and drinking of fresh cider, and the carving of pumpkins in a style befitting our utter geekitude. And no TV-watching whatsoever! Though I'll admit we talked TV rather at length... we can't always help ourselves.
All in all an excellent autumnal evening.
