Why it's awesome: It's been a while since I read anything from this fandom, but this is a story that stayed in my memory even several years after I first read it. What can I say - I am a sucker for good outsider pov fics, and this one is very good. The timeline, upon closer observation, doesn't seem to make all that much sense and there are a couple of aspects of the Japanese culture that aren't quite the way portrayed here, but as an outside look at the somewhat disturbing and all kinds of unhealthy relationship between Seishiro and Subaru, it's awesome. It also offers a view on everything else that happens during the ongoing battle for the fate of the world as seen by a clueless bystander who only tries to do his job and not die in an earthquake.
