Before I start talking about cancer stuff... I'm really excited that it's almost the new fall season! I don't know dates, but I can't wait for the new seasons of The Librarians and Longmire, along with a bunch of other shows. New episodes of shows I love! YAY!
Okay, the port procedure went really well and I'm super glad that I did it. It's still healing, but I fucking love it. The new chemo drug I'm on is MUCH easier to deal with than the other stuff I was on, and I find that I have lots more energy and much less nausia. I don't even mind going every week because this Taxol is so easy to deal with. The only bad side effect is on the second day after the treatment I get some extremely intense travelling pain along my spine and hip bones, but that only lasts a few hours. In the big picture, it beats the hell out of feeling like pukey shit for five days, or more.
I'm also on a drug to help strengthen my bones. I get that one once a month, and I'm really glad that such a thing exists. Zen does not want broken bones.
I need to watch the last five eps of last season of SPN before the new season starts. Not sure why I haven't been interested enough to do this months ago, but I'm not ready to bail on my boys yet. Becca hasn't seen any of this season, so maybe we'll just take a couple of days and watch all of season ten to prepare for season 11. Did I hear that they've already signed on for a season 12?
I heard that all of The Sentinel is going to come out on dvd, and this brings me much joy! Anyone know a release date?
The doc switched my pain meds, and I'm on one of my most favorite drugs, the 10/325 Norco! Sooooooo good. I know that within a week or two I won't get high off them anymore, but for now, I'm having a deep and meaningful relationship with my pain meds. :)
Not much else going on over here. Becca has been cooking some amazingly yummy dinners, we watch tons of competition reality tv, and life has generally been not too bad at all. Let's hope this continues.
Hope all is well with you guys, and it was amazing to see and hug everyone at VVC. Oh yeah, I had a FANTASTIC time at VVC. :)
