Today
I officially turned in my Transfer Request and applied for the two positions that are available here at work. One is a metromix account execuitve and the other is a metromix promotions/marketing coordinator. Either I'd be fine with, and both i'm qualified for. Keep your fingers crossed for me! I don't mind what I do out here for the paper, but I want to do something more in my field and what I went to school for! So, we shall see!
Today, also is Paczki (pronounced punch- key) Day, aka Fat Tuesday. I stopped this morning and picked up one for myself (tradition of mine). Though this year, I didn't stop at the usual Dunkin Donuts , being that I moved and get on the freeway a different way, I don't ever drive by that particular place, so this year it was a stop at a Tim Hortons. When I got to work though, a lady had brought in a dozen of them, so I had one of her's. Mine will be saved for later. :)
I also decided today what I plan on giving up this year for Lent. Although I am not Catholic, I decided this year, especially with the wedding I should pick something. My decision was to give up pop and chocolate. I think giving up those two items will also help with the goal I want to reach for the wedding. I also want to work at drinking water all day long. I still plan on having my morning coffee here at work, but after that is done, it's water the rest of the day.
Well I think that is all for now. Just so everyone knows, my birthday outing this year will either be Friday night or Saturday night. A few folks can't make it on Saturday so I'm possibly going to decide on going out on Friday. More details to come...
