Sleep log Day 1

Well this is my first day done on the new pattern. I will try and do a write up at the end of the day before I go to bed but I can't guarentee I'll do it every night.

This morning I woke up at 09:30 but it took 7 minutes to argue myself out of bed. My usual habit is to get well aquainted with the snooze button on my phone but I am trying to stop doing that in order to stick with rigid waking times. Anyway, I ended up getting about 6.5hrs sleep last night for my core sleep but I still felt a bit groggy when I woke up but after an hour or 2 I felt ok. Didn't feel totally alert but didn't feel really sleepy or tired either. I think I may try some kind of light stretching or exercise when I get out of bed to try and wake myself up a bit more before breakfast.

I had my evening nap between 20:00 - 21:00 and managed to get about 30 or 40 minutes sleep time. I choose to go with an hours nap today instead of 1.5hrs because I got the extra sleep at night. Tomorrow I think I will go for the 1.5hr nap but I'll see how I feel and how tired I am. I'm hoping that my nap period will teach me how to fall asleep faster without my brain over thinking like it does at night. I've found using meditation techniques to be very helpful so far.

Well I'm off to bed now. Feeling quite sleepy so I'm hoping I will fall asleep quickly.
