In the last couple of weeks, I have learned, owing to a mild infestation of mice at my new domicile, that my two cats can't be arsed to lay a single claw on the unwelcome visitors; if, however, I am ever gate-crashed by crapulous chickadees or supercilious sparrows, the kitties will most likely have my back.
