"Discrimination against white males"

Jul 17, 2009 12:59

Pat Buchanan tells Rachel Maddow that whites are victims of discrimination.

The video on YouTube was taken down, but check out this news article, which includes this quote from Buchanan: "White men were 100% of the people that wrote the Constitution, 100% of the people that signed the Declaration of Independence, 100% of the people who died at Gettysburg and Vicksburg, probably close to 100% of the people who died at Normandy. This has been a country built basically by white folks, who were 90% of the nation in 1960 when I was growing up and the other 10% were African-Americans who had been discriminated against. That's why.". And has this statement as part of the author's rebuttal: "Did you know that only twenty-percent of the people killed in 1770's Boston Massacre were black? It's true! One guy, named Crispus Attucks, who was obviously an affirmative action slaying!"

If the Republican party doesn't speak out against this, they are, IMO, supporting it. People should be in an uproar to see this in the 21st century. Of course, there's freedom of speech & this gives it a chance to come out in the open, but Buchanan seems to be speaking for the Republican party.
