Hear this live journal...I'm actually feeling happy! I've no idea how long this will last, but I'm going to enjoy it whilst it does!
In other news, I'm really enjoying this snow. It may be a little inconvenient at times, but it's just so gorgeous. I've been out in Heaton Park and Regents Park with the camera...ooh, and some friends.
Limmud was great fun, I went to loads of sessions and saw lots of lovely people too! These are the sessions I made it to in the 2 days I was there.
Monday:
Radical Talmud: Non-Jewish bread, intermarriage and unkosher quotes
Medical ethics panel
The interface between psychology and religion
Don't bore us...get to the chorus (song writing with Josh Nelson)
What's wrong with the UK? An Israeli's perspective
London Jewish Male Choir in concert
Michelle Citrin in concert
Josh Nelson in Concert
Jewmongous (comedy songs by a guy who used to be in Rockapella)
Tuesday:
Radical Talmud: Non-Jewish bread, intermarriage and unkosher quotes (part 2)
Sephardic liturgy-Ladino songs
Limmud Choir
Judaism: ethnicity or faith?
Judaism and organ donation (a very interesting session)
Shir in concert.
So a pretty busy 2 days all in all!
The 4 days I spent in Manchester were fantastic. I got to see lots of family and friends there. Sean's rat pack themed new years party was lovely, but I don't think I'll be playing that frog game again in a hurry! Meeting up with Steven and his many witticisms was a pleasure, as was Heaton Park with Morph, Andrew, Ben and Matt. On Saturday night my aunt and uncle went out and were kind enough to allow me to invite guests over, so I got to see Matt and Ben again, and also have a long awaited catch up with Amy.
