My visits to the gym are usually about me sweating it out on the machines while I observe the people streaming in and out. Since this is my (possibly) third attempt at sticking to this routine, I have quickly formed a standard list of people found in any gym. These are:

2010 has gone by and the first month of the new year is already past us. I have spent the last hour looking at photographs of the last year and I realize so much has happened. I slid into the car at 6:30 AM and breathed a sigh of relief. I wasn't going to be late for work today and the 3 hour drive from Mumbai to Pune would go smoothly. I put on my music, covered my eyes with blinkers and passed out.

 I was the typical Mumbaikar this weekend and took a one and half day break in Lonavala. Everytime I visit the countryside I'm struck by how everything around me is earthy and very real. I'm not even sure I want to stay up and think right now as opposed to burrowing inside a blanket and losing myself to sleep for the precious five hours before I have to be up. I suddenly have lots of free time on my hands, and nothing to fill it up with. Free time is evil. It leads to self reflection and thinking about the future. It's just plain evil.
