Kick-Ass 2 #3 - Kick-Ass and his group are doing actual good in the city and the ex-Red Mist starts making moves with this group. I liked this one! It seemed optimistic and positive until The Motherfucker (Red Mist) shows up. There's still a shocking moment at the end, but it works with the story.

Batman Incorporated #8 - Batman and Oracle fight a computer virus inside of Internet 3.0 in a CGI fest designed like a video game. Fun issue, but like most Batman, Inc., doesn't seem to tie in with anything else.

Ultimate Nightmare #1-5 - A transmission through mechanical devices and psychic emissions tells the death of an alien race and the coming doom to Earth. The Ultimates and the X-Men go in to investigate and find an old Soviet base that was using an alien cyborg to create new super soldiers. Dark and scary throughout with some awesome action from The Ultimates (the X-Men are mostly out of their depth). The alien is, of course, warning of the coming of Gah Lak Tus.

Ultimate Secret #1-4 - Here, it is revealed by Mahr Vehl that the Kree have been studying Gah Lak Tus and have come to Earth to see witness its destruction. When humans seem ready to explore space, the Kree commander decides to sabotage the mission so there is zero hope of escaping destruction. Mahr Vehl defects and, with the help of The Ultimates and the Fantastic Four, the Kree commander is defeated and his database on Gah Lak Tus is taken. This was a good action packed issue. There's a massive battle on the ground and an efficient strike force on the Kree ship. Half the team(s) revel in drinking and fighting, the other half enjoying super science.

Ultimate Extinction #1-5 - And the end of the series. Using what they found out from Vision and Mahr Vehl, The Ultimates, X-Men, and Fantastic Four make a plan to take out the distributed intelligence that is Gah Lak Tus. I thought this was the weakest of the three parts. Misty Knight falling into the series was good (though it felt a bit like Jessica Jones stumbling onto a Captain America conspiracy in Alias), as was the Silver Surfer angle, but both of these weren't expanded that much. The bulk of the book is about Reed making a super gun and Professor X scaring the piss out of Gal Lak Tus. The whole thing felt a little rushed. The covers of the first three issues say that this was a six issue miniseries, so I think it got cut down too late and the ending was forced. My biggest complaint is that the X-Men and Reed weapons aren't coordinated in any way, just work together by happenstance. Still, I liked the reimaging of the regular Galactus mythos.

Wolverine 13-15 - Wolverine 13 continues Wolverine killing random people for seemingly random people. In 14, he finally gets his revenge. Except he doesn't. The Red Hand he was after all killed themselves to deny Wolverine the satisfaction and the previous people he killed turn out to be his children. The twist is nice and subtle, but I think the book took too much time with random killing and left not enough time to sink in. 15 is Wolverine atoning for his sins. I liked this issue best. He spends his time personally burying each child and then jumping off a mountain over and over while dealing with his inner demons. Sad and lonely and haunting.

Conan: Road of Kings 7 - Conan, on his way to become a mercenary, becomes a body guard instead and stumbles into a plot to overthrow a king. Interesting premise and I'm curious to see where it goes.

FF 8 - The FF and their villains jump into action to stop The Reeds while Val and Franklin escape the Baxter Building for unknown reasons. Finally an action packed issue, so there's not much say about it otherwise.

Punisher 2-3 - Punisher is in the middle of a gang war. He gets set up to fight The Vulture in a gruesome, intense fight in the sky. Elsewhere, the police (and Norah Jones!) are trying to piece everything together and the survivor of the wedding massacre, while in jail, seems to be getting read for revenge. Pretty sweet, but I'm confused by all the details about the gang war, who is who, and all that.
