I did indeed survive my bariatric surgery April 22, as
beloved_recluse pointed out. It's mostly a waiting game at this point. I have to wait to go back to work, I have wait to move to more solid foods, I have to wait to heal my incisions, etc. I want fish. And beans. And stuff that has more consistency than yogurt and soup. Whine.
I'm also REALLY bored. This is why I need a job at all times - I haven't had this much time off since the month between my last job and this one over 5 years ago. There's a reason for this!
I do get to go back to work on Tuesday. Whether I want to once I see the mess that's been made since I've been gone is another story. I have at least been going through my email from home, so there's not as much crap in there as usual. That'll be after Monday's marathon of doctor appointments too. Meds, dentist, and soon to be ex-family doctor's office scheduled pretty much back to back from 9am-3pm.
My family doctor, after seeing him for all but 3 years of my 36, has decided to go to a fee-based practice. I'm poor, so I've made an appointment for a new doctor much closer to home. I will miss that office since they knew me so well! It did take quite some time to find one too, since the ones I had picked out either just left (last Wednesday was her last day), are a residency program (3 years and they leave), or aren't available more than 2 days a week. And this one has office hours until 6:30 on Mondays! It's hard to find a smaller practice with decent doctors and hours these days. They're mostly huge conglomerates where you're passed around like a cheap whore.
