Stuff's Happening
I have 5 days before I can't eat pretty much anything for a while. Bariatric surgery is NOT for the weak!
While I'm gone from work for recovery for about 2 weeks (or shortly thereafter), we're changing floors, from 7 to 5. So everything that's at my desk has to be boxed up and labeled by Friday. Can we say 'pain in the ass'? At least I got started a couple weeks ago.
Only 3 year-olds can get away with saying, at their father's college graduation, "Yay daddy! Can have have my fruit snacks now?" without missing a beat. And sitting down at a restaurant and saying for all to hear, "I tooted." Ah, kids.
At least my mom's doing better. She went back to work half days a couple weeks ago, though it wipes her out to get there and back and work those 4 hours.
I've also been approved to be a True Dungeon volunteer at GenCon. We'll see if that actually pans out due to my surgery. I hope to go, since I've never been, even though it's within walking distance of work.
