We have just been informed of the results of the
inquiry.
Admiral Edward Jellico was sharply rebuked, and temporarily suspended from duty, for his part in the affair. His punishment would have been much more severe if he hadn't been merely a dupe of the imposter Janeway -- he was unaware of her true identity and motivations, and thought that he was merely trying to "help" his nephew. He was warned, however, that he went way over the line in abducting his nephew to "clean him up" against his will; and that any similar behavior in the future could cost him his rank and commission. Admiral Kathryn Janeway, as a prisoner of her alternate-universe analog, was of course found not guilty of any offenses, and is still under medical observation before she is allowed to resume her duties -- she'll also hve to wait for her office and laboratory space to be repaired, after all of the evidence is finally removed and stored elsewhere.
Captain Kenton "KY" Jellico and Captain Terminal (full name unknown) are cleared of all charges -- and quite a few were suggested by the Murgatroid's abused crew -- as they were not acting under their own volition. Jellico is also under medical observation, but his rank and position on the Murgatroid will be restored, and he will be under Doctor Khan's care for any lingering effects from this experience. The board of inquiry regretted the absence of Captain Terminal, but were grateful that he left behind his "testimony" in the form of his memory files. The board did not know what should be done with Terminal; but was forced to admit that Starfleet had not arrived at a policy for how to deal with Terminal even before all of this happened. They hope that he will contact them, and not cause any problems elsewhere before that happens.
Commanders Storvik and Lothar committed several serious acts of assault, sabotage, and theft against Starfleet personnel and property. The board of inquiry recognized the extenuating circumstances involved, not to mention the fact that Storvik and Lothar were intrumental in foiling the Janeway-analog's plans and saving Starfleet HQ (the remains of the building, and all personnel inside); but they could not allow such extreme acts of wanton destruction to go unpunished. Storvik and Lothar are sentenced to resume their assignments on the USS Murgatroid, and are also remanded to the care and observation of Doctor Khan for any lingering effects from the treatment they received from the Janeway-analog. They have also been ordered to turn over Surak's Razor to the proper Starfleet authorities, who have thus far been unable to locate it.
Doctor Mib Khan of the Murgatroid has received two commendations, and chief engineer Ifix has received one as well, for their actions in relieving Jellico and Terminal from command of the Murgatroid, and for their part in the foiling the Janeway-analog's plans and saving Starfleet HQ. They actually attempted and managed to work within the regulations some of the time, which Starfleet Command sometimes values more than actual results or success.
The current whereabouts of the imposter Janeway are unknown, but there is a major effort afoot to locate and apprehend her -- an effort from which the Murgatroid has been specifically excluded, for a variety of reasons. There is a long list of charges pending against her.
