TECHNICALITIES:
-- Sign-ups have ended, and roles have already been distributed. IF I HAVE NOT EMAILED YOU WITH A ROLE, THEN YOU ARE A TOWNSPERSON. Do not comment and ask why you haven't been emailed yet; that's a dead giveaway to all the other players of your actual identity.
-- Because I see no reason not to, the game begins tonight. That means that wolves have until 12 AM EST to pick out their victim in the wolf filter, and special roles have until that time, as well, to pick out who they want information on/who they wish to save. Once that is chosen, at 12 AM EST, I will post up the results with the first victim, and the townspeople will have until 9 PM EST on Tuesday night to vote on who they are booting from the game.
-- As most game masters refrain from doing, I will not tell you how many wolves are in the party. There could be one, two, three, four -- however many I see fit the particular situation. Do not assume that because the game is typically played with two wolves that that means there are two wolves. However, do not also assume that there are more or less than two wolves. I could very well be saying this just to throw you off. More importantly, the only information you can rely on is the information you dig up yourself. There is no one that you can trust. There is no one that should be trusted. Do not lean on the ideas or opinions of your teammates, as their main priority - wolf or not - rests solely in themselves.
-- There are no clues in the story parts to the game. Do not attempt to pick out clues from the story parts, or attempt to "read between the lines," or do anything of that sort. You will only be led to draw false conclusions; even if you were to guess correctly, it would rely only on chance and nothing more.
-- For voting: since it is nearly impossible to go off any sort of impression you are given by the other players in the beginning, blind voting is only allowed during the first couple rounds. I'd prefer you guys only keep it down to one round; however, I know it can be difficult to pick up on any clues that are dropped by other players -- especially the more experienced ones. In any case, after the second round, blind voting is no longer allowed. Do not just drop in and pick a name out of random; that's not the point to the game, and if you believe that's how it is played, then you should really not be here. This is a strategic game. Strategize, think, explore, and discover the answers that will ultimately lead to your survival. Again, do not rely on any information given to you by any of the players. You cannot be 100% sure that you are able to trust them. Even if you form an alliance with someone, there is no way that you will ever know that that person is who they say there are. Keep that in mind, kids.
-- Lastly, do not take any sort of voting that may be done against you personally. Do not attack other party members who happen to vote for you. I cannot say this enough: you are all, essentially, on your own. It shouldn't come as that big of a surprise when others vote against you. They are only doing it out of concern for their own survival, and if you take it personally, it sucks about 95% of the fun out of the game and makes the other players feel really uncomfortable. If that happens, if you ruin the fun for everyone else, then trust me: I'll be severely fucking pissed. And you'll be hearing about it. So, really, don't bitch about other members when they vote for you. It's every man for himself, and aside from that, it's only a game. Remember that.
PLOT:
-- As far as storylines go, you will be split into two teams. The team that is in possession of the current victim will be the main (and only) focus for the storyline that night. All eighteen of you awaken in a strange and abandoned city that once looked to be a relatively popular metropolis of some sort. You will have no idea why you are there, what happened that led to your arrival to this place, and the only means of escape will be to successfully submit to the games of the ones who brought you there. In this case, the man who is responsible for your entrapment in the abandoned city is called Mordecai (those who played in my last game know he is; he's an asshole, and he likes fucking with you, k). He will only allow you to leave the city if the remaining townspeople defeat the wolves and walk away freely, without fail. If the townspeople are incapable of getting rid of the wolves, however, and they become outnumbered, then there is no hope. They will die along with the rest of those who gave their life at the cost of Mordecai's game.
FILTERS:
-- If you are a townsperson who happens to be killed or voted off, I will allow you access into the wolf filter. However, do not get in the way of the decisions being made by the wolves; do not comment on the wolf filter (unless you are, of course, a wolf who has been voted off). Do not relay any information discovered through the wolf filter to those who are still alive. You are dead. Your opinion no longer matters. What happens in the wolf filter stays in the wolf filter, bitches. Don't take it into the game when it's not your place to do so.
-- Dead townspeople: like I said before, please refrain from commenting on the wolf filter. This is mostly for my own convenience; I don't want your comments to confuse me from the decisions made by the wolves. I am going to create a filtered entry specifically for the dead townspeople to flail around and whine and spazz out in. Obviously, this will be just your filtered entry, and the wolves will not have access to it.
INTRODUCTION.
He hand-selected every single one of them. Plucked them from their daily lives, from the cut-and-dry reality that they relentlessly drove themselves though, and brought them here, put them here, in a city that stretched on for miles. Dead, crumbling, with lights that no longer worked, and cars that no longer ran. Pretty brick buildings with their glass windows, painted thoroughly with dust and with the grime of old age. Paved streets with granite stone that glinted in the dim light - glinted against the sun as it rose from beyond the horizon to reveal a silence that did not go unnoticed. Every single one of them. He had his reasons for every single one of them. They were his to keep. He found them. He found them. They were his.
Jackie, Fitz, Kelly, Sarai, Julia, Kit, Sarritichi, Jemz, Ranan, Gen, Nicki, Shelby, Ruin, Laura, Twiggy, Saku, Megan, and Rei; all eighteen of them. All chosen for extremely different reasons. Eighteen very different people for a very different situation; one that they had, no doubt, never been in before. One that they would, no doubt, never experience ever again.
Really, the way he saw it, he was doing them a favor.
They had been divided. It wouldn't have been any good to have them all together, would it, when the city was so large, when there was so much space to be spread about in. Nine were on the east end of the city, near the rickety old train station with its tracks built of rotting wood. The remaining nine were off toward the west side of the city, close to the edge of the forest that they were forbidden to enter. They were always forbidden to enter the forest. After all, it was Their domain. It was where They slept, where They ate, where They watched from Their dens, quiet, calculating, knowing. But They belonged to him, too, and They listened to him, always, first and foremost, before anything. He made sure that They never forgot that.
He still remembered the fear that had exuded so wonderfully from the last group he had taken. The ones he had brought into the middle of the forest, in the clearing, where they had stayed, huddled near a desecrated stone cabin. Where they had been picked off, one by one, slowly, carefully, until there was none of them left. That group had lost. And maybe he had been a little unfair with them, hm? Maybe he hadn't played by the rules -- no, not exactly. But weren't they amazingly wonderful? And he had backed every one of them up, until the were trapped between bark and warm flesh, and gloved hands had moved down, along trembling sides as he leaned in, close to their ear and whispered: "I'm like a disease."
Then he either left the cowering victim to Them, or he took care of them himself. Pressed his hand against the smooth leather of his holster as his fingers worked over the barrel, tugged the gun from its place against his side.
"I'm like a fucking disease."
Always nice killing them that way, when they had been discarded by the ones that no longer trusted them. Nice killing them in other ways, too, until they were whimpering and crying and begging please please
"And once I'm there, once I'm in your head, once I'm inside, you can't get rid of me."
please please against him, against his shoulder, until finally, he was done. Done fucking around with them.
"You can't wash me away."
Done twisting sharp knives in their gut until they dropped to both knees, and he'd finish them off. Pull away as they fell toward him, fell down against soft soil, and his fingers would move up, straighten his tie, fix his jacket. Every time. Every single time. Because they were his.
"I'm the type of sin that sticks."
They were his.
And he'd fuck with them as much as he wanted to.
LOL IF POSSIBLE, I THINK I'VE MADE MORDECAI 500x MORE CREEPIER THAN HE WAS IN MY FIRST GAME. IS IT SO WRONG TO GET OFF ON MURDERING OTHER PEOPLE? COME ON. Okay, yes, he's a dick. But he likes it. ANYWAY.
WOLVES & SPECIAL ROLES: YOU HAVE UNTIL 12 AM EST TO DO YOUR SHIT. GET AT IT.
The rest of you: lol good luck, bitches. You're gonna need it.
As always, if you have any questions (that have not been answered by the previous post or this one), please please please don't hesitate to ask. My email is murdertropolis@gmail.com and my aim is empress to dress. I don't want anyone confused.
And, yes, I've been working on this post for awhile now ): HOW COULD YOU TELL.
