Well we played another football game last night and lost to some Air Force team that is stationed here. These guys actually have organized practices and call real plays in the huddle every time--we just run around until somebody is open. But we only lost by one touchdown. And we had 2 of our interceptions called back because apparently we sacked the quarterback before he ever threw the ball. Don't play again now till monday night.
Class is alright except for they have us using these rediculously expensive Nikon cameras that the Marine Corps will NEVER get. We don't even use Nikon to begin with so about half of the stuff I'm learning, I will never use again, at least not while I'm in the Marines.
But Im am not alone here. Staff Sgt Jimmy Stare is here! Yes the Recon Staff Sgt. from my deployment. He somehow lat. moved from Force Recon to a Combat Correspondent. So he went from a psychopathic ninja to a photojournalist. ?!?! And for those of you that have not yet gone to his web site, i still very strongly recomend it. (www.jimmystare.com) While we were out running wednesday morning, him and I had a nice chat about how absolutely retarted our last deployment was and how much better the MEU is now that there have been a couple changes in our command.
So that is a big plus. My next deployment con only be better than the last one. Much better.
