Well Im back out in Maryland and things really are not that bad. Today was my second day of class and it seems like it is going to be quite challenging but still a pretty fun class. We have some pretty cool instructors that actually have a sense of humor-unlike last time I was here. But it sucks because I am back in a training environment and they still like to wake up at 4:30 every morning to go run. No thank you.
But I am already playing in some organized flag football that has referees and everything. Played on monday night against the Army and won. And I had some girls in the bleachers yelling at me to get a tan when one of the guys missed my flag, grabbed my shorts and decided not to let go, and I didnt think to stop running until my shorts were almost around my ankles. It was quite a humorous situation.
And somehow everyone here knew about me before I even got here. When I introced myself to some of the marines here that just came from boot camp, they were like "Yeah, Cpl. Eberle, we've heard a lot about you already." And that kinda scares me because I don't have the slightest clue what they are talking about or where they heard it from.
I should be getting a pretty extensive tour of the Pentagon here pretty soon too because my Captain on deployment now works there, and so does one of the Navy chicks in my class. And they said they would get us badges and show us as much of the Pentagon as they could. Very Exciting.
Oh yeah, I remember why i hate being on an Army base so much....HOOAAH!!! I have only been here 2 days and they are already running there mouth about dumb shit that they don't have the slightest clue about. Oh yeah, and we have to drive all the way to Quantico to get uniform items.
