Now I wander seriously and sit and read as a diversion.
This time the day after tomorrow, I'll be in LA for a week's time. I would like it to be Wednesday already, but I suppose I can be happy with it being Monday.
I'm reading The Moviegoer again. I was going to read A Summons to Memphis again, but I can't find it, nor could I find my copy of The Collected Stories of Peter Taylor. So The Moviegoer it is--it seemed like a good one to follow The Sun Also Rises. For such a terribly (in some ways) depressing novel, it cheers me up to read The Sun Also Rises.
There should be more to say, but I can't think of anything. It's beautiful outside. I have to have Contracts and Grants approve some changes we made to a budget before I leave tomorrow, and as per usual, that bureaucratic rung in the university ladder is pretty busy, and hasn't gotten back to me yet. Remind me to *not* become an accountant. You might say "well, Megan, you could go over the numbers one more time and make sure everything is correct" at which point I might answer "no, I think not." Instead, I will clean my desk.
Oh, also--I had green tea that had popcorn in it this morning. I liked it.
