[Itachi's healing had taken longer than expected. He would have been up earlier, but a combination of the nurses fretting during the time when he first woke up and Kisame urging him to heal fully before attempting to move had hindered any attempts. That and the extreme pain that he felt when trying to stand up or when he moved too quickly.]
[But it had been about three weeks since he had woken up from his coma, woken up weak and blind, and now he was ready to fully commit to gaining his strength back.]
[Growlithe stands at Itachi's side, ready to provide aid if it is needed. After a moment, Itachi pulls himself off the bed and takes a few slow steps, knowing that there isn't anything to trip him directly in front of him. One hand does hover over Growlithe's back (who is following him silently) as he navigates around the room slowly, familiarizing himself with his surroundings.]
