I'm looking forward to the 30th, the day I move. It's a Thursday, so I took that and the 31st off. After I see my son off at the bus stop and drop off my daughter, I'm loading my car with stuff and starting to move my belongings to the new house. There are lots of boxes, mostly of books. I've thinned out the collection many times over the years, but it is still ridiculous. There's a Japanese word for that--a person who accumulates books quicker than they can read them and whose abode is overrun with them.
Anyway, the house is only about 20 minutes away, so I should be able to make lots of trips during those two days. And then on the weekend, we'll have guys here moving the bigger items and furniture that I have in storage.
I have a Starbucks coupon for a pumpkin spice latte that I intend to use on the day I move. I don't even like pumpkin spice latte. It tastes... vague. But I want to use it because a) hello, coupon, and b) I fear that I won't be having storebought coffee for quite some time. Saving money and all that. I don't even have enough furniture for all the rooms in the new place--which is modest in size--but that's okay. No rush. I should absolutely love every item in my house, and finding those items will take time.
