Kanny and Jumpy.
It all started, I suppose, when they met in school. Due to lack of canon evidence, I’m just going to throw this little bit of head canon out there. Junpei was kind of lame, and Kanny was kind of popular. Not really lame, or super popular, just… normal. Neutral. So it’s not really surprising they became friends, right? A small class which, if you will, was divided into POPULAR KIDS, REGULAR KIDS, and LAME KIDS, forced them to be in the same column.
I’m just going to take a moment and say this will be the only time, I will ever refer to Akane as “normal”. Moving right along-
I guess they were sort of “childhood sweethearts”, if you will. It was pretty obvious they were going to date someday, stay together forever, get married, have kids, grow old, the like. That was just… who they were. They were best friends and in love from the second they met. Kind of sappy, sure, but true.
I actually have a sappy story for how Junpei got the nickname “Jumpy”, but ANOTHER DAY, ANOTHER TIME.
They shared many, very special moments together, and this time in her life is something that Kanny will treasure for the rest of her life. This was a time when things were… easy. When the extent of her worries was wondering in Junpei would notice a new clip in her hair, or if her new dress would make her eyes pop.
Eventually, Junpei bought her a small doll after saving up his allowance for a few weeks. That doll is easily the most important thing Kanny has ever owned. Not because he saved up for it, and not even because it was from Junpei. It’s important, because that doll was the last time Akane ever felt anything. Ever.

From here on out, it gets a little confusing, since Kanny technically lives through two different paths. So, the first path will be in green and the second path will be in blue
