[ When the feed comes on, Sebastian's typically-bright face is unsmiling and his eyes are dark. He's leaning over the small form of Ciel Phantomhive, for those who would recognize him, tucked neatly into a bed in the Blackthorn Inn. The feed is being shot from across the room, low to the ground

When he does turn the video option on, the Angel's smile is a little sharper than usual, posture and voice a little different. The casual mask is wearing thin. He's in his element.
A single Shedinja floats at his side, docile. ]
I've got some info, but I'd like a little in return.

He refocuses on Hanekoma, and it isn't difficult to pick up on the small differences. The usual nonchalance is being usurped by something intense just beneath the surface. Sebastian's eyes sharpen in response. For the first time since their initial contact, there's the vague idea of Mr. Hanekoma as a threat. ]
I'm afraid I don't know anything further regarding the situation, Mr. Hanekoma.

[ He doubts he'll get honesty, but it's worth a try, and it's not as though he was making any move to hide his interest. Really, this is the main reason he responded.
He doesn't need to see any more unconscious kids to know it's happening all over. ]

He speaks carefully, precisely. ]
I suppose if you think it an adequate favour in return, but I would insist that you reveal your information first.

The most I know of Shedinja are that they have been...impossibly rare, up until recently. Many of us Pokemon have been surprised to see them, especially in such numbers.
I've attempted to speak with a few...however, they're non-responsive, fleeing immediately after realizing I've spotted them. Much to my great dismay.
[[Yes, this is indeed an Espeon speaking with you, Sebastian. Hopefully you do not mind telepathy.]]
The information you shared is good to know, however, and I am grateful that you decided to offer it to the public.

Should I come into possession of any further information that might prove useful, I will certainly do so again. I appreciate what you're able to tell me, Miss... ?
[ He trails off delicately, prompting for a name. It's only fair to address her politely. She seems the polite sort. ]

..So they've really lost their souls, then?
[He looks off-camera, supposedly at his foster father, who is lying on his back on a cot in the Azaela Pokémon Center. His Persian's head is resting on his one shoulder, looking grim and wishing his master was happier, and on his other shoulder a Glameow that appears unfazed by the events.]

[He has a pained look.]
If they aren't, I'm gonna wipe every single one of these fucking bugs off the planet, so this will never happen again.
[How can he deal with knowing his master's soul is gone forever? Would that somehow bleed into his world back home?]

[ If Sebastian were to undertake such a task, it would be a simple matter of venting his rage and exacting revenge, with no concern for anyone else. Who cared if it happened again? The only important soul in Johto would already be gone. ]

You knowledge of souls is impressive.

There must be texts or other documentation on it to be found, on how to get the souls back or at least stop them from taking any more.
I don't suppose any have been found? [It's spoken calmly and coolly]

None that have proven useful, as I understand it. It seems that any information that the books of the region have to offer sheds no more light on the situation than our own Pokédexes do.

Y... you mean... they could have... lost their souls for good, if they ate them?

Unfortunately, that is a possibility. We can continue to hope, however.
