[ When the feed comes on, Sebastian's typically-bright face is unsmiling and his eyes are dark. He's leaning over the small form of Ciel Phantomhive, for those who would recognize him, tucked neatly into a bed in the Blackthorn Inn. The feed is being shot from across the room, low to the ground.
He smooths the blankets over the boy's chest and brushes his hair from his forehead before retreating, turning to pick up a pair of boots and put them where they belong.
The cameramon takes this opportunity to bring the 'Gear over to his master. It's set on the floor, and a quiet whine comes from above it. Sebastian looks down and frowns slightly.
When he picks the 'Gear up, the Mightyena cowering hopefully behind it is revealed before it swivels to capture Sebastian's face once more. He speaks quietly. ]
It would seem that my young master, as well, has fallen victim to the affliction currently passing through the region. Now having witnessed it first-hand, I can say with fair certainty that I know what has happened to our comrades.

In my experience, a soul removed from its body must be bound to another body, or to a suitable vessel of another kind. It is not unreasonable to think that the souls are bound to the Pokémon who have claimed them. However, without knowing precisely what they have done with the souls - whether or not they have consumed them, or how they may have bound them - it is impossible to know how best to proceed.
If anyone has any further information on these creatures and their methods of soul-stealing, I would be greatly indebted.
