[and there is one familiar viking replying. hiccup's huddled up in blankets, but at least his face is recognizable. unlike toothless's. though this seems kind of familiar.]

Toothless' head whips to look one way, his eyes darting around, making sure to peer into every corner and shadow. Then he stops, and whips his head the other way, doing the same. Nothing there, either. He stops and turns his head to behind him... and topples over because he has no tail to keep him upright and hasn't gotten used to hands and arms yet.

Finally, he picks himself up and waddles over to the gear... And a concerned look crosses his face.

Then he looks, determined once more, to the screen. He opens his mouth and--]

[OH MY GOD HICCUP. PAY ATTENTION. His forehead crinkling in concentration, eyes narrowed, he tries again.]

[at that, hiccup's relaxing. a week without toothless was a bit weirder than he thought, so. dragon or not, he was still here. it was just. getting used to this whole... human thing that was weird.]
