sixth form; video/action for Route 32 Pokemon Centre {8/02/2011}
The camera clicks on to a view of Nanao in a rather different outfit to before - instead of the kimono or black shihakushou, she's wearing green tracksuit pants, and a navy vest. She's also leaning over a bed, and her back obscures whatever is resting on it.
"Shh, shh, you'll be alright." She sounds exhausted, and her trousers are damp and dirty. The camera moves, going around to the other side of the bed.
Curled up on what looks to be Nanao's jacket with a miniature oxygen mask on it's small snout and an IV line is the tiniest Charmander you've ever seen. Breath rattles unsteadily in and out of it's chest, and the tail flame, which should be bright and orangey-red is instead a mere flicker of what it should be. Nanao brushes a single finger over it's head lovingly, slowly.
"Skaaa..." The sound comes from a small Skarmory, perched up on the pillow. Nanao turns to look at it, and gives it a gentle pat. Her face has a few smears of mud on it, and some suspicious tracks that might have been made by tears.
"I know, Jyuu. All we can do now is hope that Renji is strong enough to pull through this." Her voice cracks, and she bites her lip, eyes glimmering overbright behind her glasses. Behind the camera, there comes a deep "Kadaaa", and a large three fingered hand reaches across the bed to squeeze Nanao's shoulder. Her own hand reaches up to squeeze it, and the feed times out to the view of Nanao's Pokemon clustering close around her.
