At the moment, pretty much half of my home state is under flood warning. My school was almost impossible to navigate, and my grandmother is crashing with us because she lives right on a river.

Brief story:
This is the theme (now) titled Lightning, but every time I found this drabble listed anywhere, it was spelled "lightening", with an e.
Two completely different words, so... two half-drabbles. Yay. Each should be 50 words.
