It is Too Late at Night for me to be Posting

But I'm doing it anyway...
just like I ate those two apple turnovers because, calculating by my math, Mom made enough for each of us to have two. And this is after having a little bit of mint chocolate chip ice cream before she came home from work.
Geez, no wonder my brother calls me fat. Okay, I'm gonna shut up about that now - there's more important things to write in my LJ about than my horrible eating habits. I do need to do something about it though

Had a fairly not-as-stressful week; Dad came home on Tuesday, drama ensued... but luckily the branch's RS activity for this month was Tuesday night shortly after he came home, so I didn't have to deal with the ranting that must have ensued when he made it over here (his transmission had to be repaired as soon as he came home - that's why he was home so late actually). We made pies! :D and one of the sisters ate an apple peel from when we were peeling and coring the apples for our Apple Crisps (with one of those fancy machines), so I ended up trying it too... it was weird, because the way the machine for peeling/coring the apples worked the peels came out in long, thin strips and it looked like we were eating snakes. XD

And then Thursday (yes, I just skipped over Wednesday. :p all that really happened was that we talked about immigration in Women's History, and that was kinda depressing/sad/not pretty).... well, Honors was canceled because the prof had a meeting to attend.... so instead of telling my mom so we could go home, I hung out and worked on homework in the Honors lounge - I got a lot done, don't get me wrong... more than if I had gone home.

And then Institute. Oh gosh, Institute... I actually had two slices of pizza, and a slice each of pumpkin and apple pies that they had there (an old Seminary classmate split the apple slice with me though, thank goodness! Otherwise I would've felt worse)... But then again, like the aforementioned classmate said, calories consumed in a church building don't count against you. :P that's my story and I'm sticking to it.
(Seriously though, I need to be more decisive when given dessert options like that so I don't end up overeating every Thursday night)

Then Friday and much of Saturday was spent cleaning Dad's stuff out of my room and moving my desk that once was in the living room back in. And I moved my TV out too, because honestly I don't use it, and knowing this full well Mom didn't get a DirecTV box for it when we switched. While it feels great to know this bedroom is no longer partially Dad's office, but completely my room and mine alone... I didn't get as much done on the draft for my English paper as I would've liked (but then that's also partially a result of hitting a block), meaning I have to cram on Tuesday and get it finished because it's due Wednesday; and also... well you see, there was and still kind of is a ton of dust in my room, which in the past has spelled congestion and a cough for about a day after moving too much stuff around in the past. Considering I conducted a near-complete overhaul on my room this weekend... yeah. Symptoms that usually go away in a day or less will probably plague me for the better part of the upcoming week.

AND I already finished a Christmas present for one of my friends this year! >3 it's something that I should've made to go with the Russia cosplay I made for her last fall, but at least it's done now... And I'm so glad she doesn't use LJ because otherwise I would've just totally given away what one of her gifts is going to be - and yes, she gets two because her birthday's in December too and I'm making another gift that each of her siblings will be getting this year too if I can get enough fleece to do it.

And today, I overslept and thus went to church with Dad and my brother at my old ward, got a ride home with my friend's family, and after a visit from the family Home Teachers the three of us had a rather modest Thanksgiving dinner at my aunt's place - but I don't mind; otherwise we wouldn't have had a Thanksgiving this year, after all because both the 'rents are working and schedules are so crazy this year that we can't have it early like we did last year; and with all the sweets I've been eating lately the last thing I need to do is gorge on turkey and overly-sweetened yams/sweet potatoes/the yellowish-orange identical vegetables of which I don't recognize the difference no matter how many times people tell me! Besides, there's always Christmas dinner at my grandparents' house for gorging.

And speaking of Christmas, I'm already listening to Christmas music courtesy of the BEST radio station in the Phoenix Metro Area. :D

Oh, and our latest project in my art class is going well - and much as I have complained about being so bored by the constant still-life drawings we've been doing, this one has been kind of fun. :D I might be adding a splash of color in Photoshop to those Christmas lights in my drawing, but yeah - you'll see what I'm talking about when and if I post it here or on dA.

And Dad told my brother to go to bed just a few minutes ago, so I probably should follow suit. Until next Sunday (or sooner) ~!
