Sunday Evening Post: Gah...
Note to self: never, EVER say an assignment "won't take too long to do" as an excuse to allow a certain eager friend to kidnap you for the day. You will end up working on it until about 2 am.
^ that, people, was my lethal mistake last night. NEVER. AGAIN. I am so tired right now like you wouldn't believe, but I can't crash yet because I have to do Visiting Teaching at 2:30 and it's currently 1:55.
Then again, as my mom says "you have to have fun once in a while..." it shouldn't have to come at the expense of coming to the ultimatum of staying up to an unseemingly hour versus observing the Sabbath and not doing homework on Sunday - did I mention that the assignment is due tomorrow and thus had to be done either yesterday or today?
Bah, nevermind. On to the more interesting stuff that happened this week.
Namely, I was running around like a headless chicken for most of it - if I didn't have class, I had a meeting. If I didn't have class or a meeting, I had a big assignment to do. And I don't think I even tried getting enough sleep all that week.
But Friday was fun - or Friday afternoon at least. Went early to the "small controlled fire" for Honors (well, I went because I'm in Honors, but it was for everyone really) to help set up, roasted pink strawberry-flavored marshmallows on straightened-out coat hangers like no tomorrow, and had a nice cup of hot cocoa and various other snack stuffs with a side of academic discussion. It was fun, really.
And I learned on the way home that I cannot imitate any foreign accent other than British without somehow slipping back into British. Unless I am speaking a foreign language, then I can stick to the accent of that language (i.e. French)
Then yesterday.... yesterday, I was stupid and instead of working on finishing up a certain English assignment that's due Monday, I worked on the lab report for Nutrition that's due Wednesday. And then my friend stole me away somewhere around three and while we did end up going back to my house, our time was spent making dinner for us and my mom, and hanging out until about 11. Boy was I stupid.
And then today, with still minimum sleep, I got up and went to church.
..... Can I take a half-hour catnap before I go Visiting Teaching? Pretty please? I promise I'll wake up when my companion texts me...
