Happy Halloween everybody! ^^ I would finish what I started in quoting This is Halloween, but I don't know the rest of it from there until the chorus... But what the heck?
This is Halloween, This is Halloween,
Everybody's Ready for the Next Surprise~ (?)
Okay, okay, enough with quoting song lyrics. XD
So my Halloween weekend in a not-so nutshell:
Friday I went to a party at Tawny's house and pigged out on food... and towards the end watched, of all things, The Brave Little Toaster. I remember watching the two sequels all the time as a kid, but I haven't seen the original in forever until Friday... and it's a lot darker than I remember. I mean, seriously - the scene at the parts shop, the junkyard... seriously, this was for kids? XD meh, it was still good either way. Fuzzy because it would appear that when they put it on DVD they didn't remaster it like most of the older Disney movies.
Saturday I worked on my Honors proposal for the first part of it, and then went over to Rae's and went to the ward Halloween party from there. We had chili, hot dogs of which I did not partake because I don't like hot dogs, and instead of a trunk or treat they set up a system where people would go from room to room inside the church building getting candy - some people started saying "church or treat" instead of "trick or treat." XD
And today I went to church, took a nap, and got in costume (basically a witch!Konata without the cape or the blue wig - actually, only thing that would've made it close to witch!Konata was my witch's hat... I was wearing a Shugo Chara uniform and black leggings otherwise. XD) and handed out candy to what few trick-or-treaters come around our neighborhood anymore. Now those leftover Whoppers are mine - ALL MINE! Muahahahahahah (I mean the malt-and-chocolate candy balls folks, not the cheeseburgers) Would've trick-or-treated myself after the last big group, but well, look at the day of the week. Besides, I kinda got the warm fuzzies handing out candy to little kids (and some not-so-little kids - two of the people in that last group I knew from high school!).
All in all, I'm ready for Christmas now! :D Heck with Thanksgiving, that'll just make me even fatter than I already am. :Y (I kid, I kid - I love Thanksgiving, but might not do much for it this year - both the 'rents are working it, so we'll probably do something before or after if anything). It's weird - all the holidays this year are either on Sundays or I've spent them more or less alone because of my flighty brother and my mom's work schedule. It's kind of depressing, really.
Oh there's no place like home ~ for the Holidays. 'Cause no matter how far away you roam ~ *brick'd*
What?! I waited until after Halloween! ... Sort of.
So now looking forward to the craziness of the next school week: we're testing on two chapters for Nutrition this week again, and I still have a PowerPoint and the Boorstin summary for this next week to work on for Honors (and Boorstin reading to finish - eep! I'm not too far off though), and finishing off the school week with my official induction into Phi Theta Kappa. Wish me luck, guys, between Honors and Nutrition work (and English, oh my!) I just might go insane.
And with a wave of Konata's wand, hopefully all of my f-list's troubles will melt away!
(as I think more and more about it, I really should do witch!Konata one year - with leggings or a longer skirt of course)
