Holy wow. It IS December already. This year has so flown by. And the sad part? ...There's NO SNOW. Boooo.
Okay, I feel I should update about the last weeks. So here goes. ...Wth. We'll start with the night before Thanksgiving.
So I had to close at Starbucks, with the one that I'm not too thrilled about. She's a nice person, please, don't get me wrong, but something about pathological liars kind of turns me off. Anyway. So I went to work expecting to be closing with her.. except, guess what. She decided she wasn't going to be able to make it in, so she'd gotten a replacement. ...Except! She hadn't TOLD anybody she was getting a replacement. Go figure. So, this replacement (who was freaking amazing, by the way) and I were closing, and of course, we had a bunch of crazies. What else is new in retail. But, it got to be 10, so she kicked 'em all out. It was such. A slow. Night. I mean, I suppose I should have expected it, being the night before Thanksgiving and all, but REALLY. This was just bad. The store closed, I went to start my normal closing duties, and she went to close the store. ...Only, she couldn't figure out how to lock the door. I don't blame her; it's not one that you just shove the key into the lock and then turn, and boom, insta-lock. Nah, you have to like, unscrew something underneath the handle of the door.. I dunno. I've never had to lock it before. I felt so bad. She was working on that damn thing for 20 minutes. We called every one of the shifts, got ahold of one of them, she told us kind of what to do, and then... yeah. Anyway. We ended up getting out of work 30 minutes late. Oh well. She was awesome about it. I just felt bad that I couldn't be of more help.
So. Thanksgiving was at my house this year. It was fun. Pretty relaxed. It was odd that my grandma wasn't there (she just had a hip replacement and a hernia - she's 88.), but we had fun regardless. Parker's adorable (my second... cousin... kind of? I dunno. He's my cousin's kid.) After we ate, we just kind of.. sat and talked for awhile. Theenn.. We went to visit my grandma. And then I went to sleep.
Black Friday was insane. It always is. But half the time, the people working with me and I were just staring at each other. Then the parking lot would fill, everyone would get out of their cars at EXACTLY the same moment, come into the store, order drinks so we had like, 20 lined up on the counter, take their drinks, leave, leaving us with an empty cafe once more, and again staring at each going, "...what the hell just happened?" That was exciting.
Uhhh.. Saturday was my date. :]
Sunday was my sister's birthday. ...She's 18. Oh my.
Monday was.. oh. Yesterday. Cool. I worked. Naturally. Came home. Did a whole lot of nothing. Went to running club. That was fun. Then went over to Eggchan's. Lol. We watched a whole lot of Arashi. I love it. D no Arashi is the best. Like. Ever. Oh, and Ohno wearing those God awful red pants.. yeah. I see what "dying inside a little" is really like. That was BAD, man. Seriously. I still love him though. ...But I've kind of got a thing for Aiba now, too. ...Oh dear. Can my love be split both ways? D: He's just got such an adorable face. Haha. Seriously, though. Had I been a little kid, and had Arashi come babysit me? Dayum. I don't know what I'd have done. Hoped that Nino and Ohno showed up, for one. Hahaha. Those two crack me up. I still say, switching segments/shows here, that if I do go to Japan, I try and bring back the grandparent visiting show. :D I could so pull off being a little old lady. I'd just, you know. Need to find an ojiisan to help me out. :] Oh, Arashi. I could go off for hours on that topic.
Anyway. Today's Tuesday. Plans? Bum around. Sleep a lot. Bum around some more. It's gonna be a nice day. IF IT SNOWS.
