ummm so yea. last night was definately the top of the top 10 nights of my life. Poly-freaking-phonic Spree. thats all i have to say. it was amazing. they played allot of new songs that i dont know and "it's sun" and "hold me now." theyre backup dancers/choir was pretty amusing to watch. the highlight of the show was when the lead singer came down and danced with the crowd. I made my way from the back and got to dance with him because the nice people let me through. (side note: they had the nicest crowd id ever seen :-D ) even though this was all great fun, i did get really sad when they said that they were done playing and they hadnt played "when a fool becomes king".
good thing they were just bluffing to make the encore amazing. omg. best encore ever. totally worth the $20 alone to see the encore. they changed from their super cool jump suits into THE ROBES!!! not only that but they walked through the crowd and i touched them *sigh* it was like beatle mania for me. i was screaming and clapping and jumping the entire time. so, once they all piled on stage again they played Lithium which was pretty damn hardcore. then they played something else and finally all i heard was "next we're playing a song about a king..." and i just couldnt control myself. i was screaming and jumping, i was so happy. they played my song; we did some hand motions and the night was over. but not until we clapped so hard our hands fell off and we made the flute player cry. im pretty sure they love nola and hopefully they'll spread the word about how we're such great concert goers :-D
