More Anime North, plus new convention!

Okay, so I forgot to post about the other stuff that happened at the con. XD So here it is.

First, it was so awesome seeing people cosplay. I really want to go as someone next time... both times that I've gone, I've felt kind of sad that I didn't dress up as anyone so next year, I'm going to try to change that. I've always wanted to make a costume and stuff. :3

I also got hit on at the con. I was waiting, alone, near the bathroom for my friends to come back out when this guy cosplaying as Squall (I think) asked to take my photo. I was kind of confused so I told him, "Oh, I'm not dressed up as anyone." He then said, "I know, you're just cute." I think that was the nicest come on I've ever experienced... he wasn't creepy or anything, he was just nice. o_O But I got so flustered that I didn't really know what to say... I ended up going "...Noo..?" in a high pitched voice and when he asked what I said, I went "..no that's okay?" waved bye and then ran off with my friends since they had just come back.

I feel really bad about how I reacted. He was genuinely nice in his approach but... isn't it kind of creepy for a guy that thinks you're attractive to have a photo of you when you know you're not going to see him again? >_> I wanted to go after him and tell him that he shouldn't feel bad because I already have a boyfriend and that it was a really good approach, and that he shouldn't give up because I know how hard it is to actually do that sort of thing. But he was gone and I never ran into him again at the con. :/ Oh well...

I also found out that there's going to be a brand new anime convention in Toronto at the end of the year. It's called Dotcon and looks like it's actually a really neat idea. It's completely sponsored by One Million Comix and there's going to be a live concert and everything. It's also going to be downtown, which is a lot nicer than out in the middle of nowhere like Anime North is. Maybe I can even have a costume made for then! I might actually register as a member of Dotcon, since you get some pretty sweet discounts at One Million Comix. :3 We'll see how it goes.
