Summary: It had been 3 months since that night. Umika started to show some signs that Chinen was scared of the most.
“Yuri… I have something to tell you…”
Umika played with the hem of her shirt, looking all apprehensive.
“What is it? Why you look so nervous?”
“I-I…” he could see tears running down her cheeks. “Chinen Yuri, I’m carrying your baby.”
Chinen’s eyes widened in shock. His knees felt so weak that he couldn’t stand anymore and fell to the ground.
“NOOOOOO!!!!!!”

“Noooo!!!”
Chinen rose from his sleep, panting hard.
“T-That was… That was scary…” he fell back, hugging his body tightly. He couldn’t stop trembling, remembering his previous nightmare.

“Today’s theme is interesting!”
“I never felt so excited in PE before!”
Yuto and Shougo looked very bouncy for their next subject after the brain-confusing mathematic they had had.
“Why they look so excited? What is the theme?” Chinen asked Kamiki who sat beside him.
“We don’t have to change to PE’s uniform since we’ll have sex-ed as our theme for today.”
Chinen almost fell from his chair.
After that their PE teacher came to their class, receiving excited eyes from most of her students.
She explained the class the reproduction organs of male and female, how to keep them healthy, and then what sex was and how their results were.
Chinen couldn’t help but blushed when their teacher warned them how sex in adolescent age was inappropriate and very dangerous. He peeked to see Umika’s expression, and she too blushed on her chair while playing with her pencil.
“And you know, sex without contraception can cause pregnancies! If they’re married couples than it’s okay. But if they’re school’s teenagers like you, that would be a chaos! Imagine when your girlfriend is pregnant because of you!”
Bam!
The whole class turned their attention to the source of the sound.
“What’s wrong, Chinen-san?” their teacher asked the boy on the back row.
“N-Nothing…” Chinen got up from the floor, patting his trousers from the dirt. “I just… got sleepy. Sorry.”
He sat back on his chair, blushing furiously when the class chuckled at his antic.

Finally they had a break time. Chinen was relieved he could pass PE. Not because he didn’t like PE, but that day’s theme just… Too reprimanded him.
He ate their lunch with Yamada, Yuto, Kamiki, Mirai, Suzuka, and Umika. They chatted happily, sharing their lunch each other. Chinen forgot his worries for a while, until…
“Umika, did you gain some weight?” Mirai out of the blue asked her best friend.
“Eeeh?? Really?” Umika was surprised, holding her cheeks with her hands.
“I think this part is gaining some fat…” Mirai reached Umika’s belly, measuring it with her hand.
“I see…” Umika sighed. “Yeah, my appetite is increasing dramatically and I always feel hungry! I don’t even know why…”
The girls nodded in acknowledgement.
“Hmm… Maybe I should have a diet or soon I would look like a pregnant woman!” she laughed together with the rest. But, someone was not laughing with them.
“Oi, Chinen! Hold yourself!” Yamada hit Chinen’s back several times as the boy was chocking on his lunch.

The next morning, Chinen didn’t see his girlfriend when he arrived on the class. Usually, she would arrive before him.
After a while she finally arrived with Suzuka. He could see her looking pale and unhealthy. He went to approach her, but suddenly she held her mouth with her hand and run to outside.
“Umika! Are you okay??” Suzuka chased her, worried with her condition. Chinen wanted to chase her too, but was prevented by Suzuka.
“No, Chinen! We’re going to girl’s bathroom!” with that she left Chinen in the class.
After a while, Suzuka came back without Umika.
“Suzuka-chan! What happened to Umika?? Is she okay??” Chinen rushed to Suzuka’s side.
“She has to skip lessons until the break time. She was feeling bad when I met her in gate. She said she couldn’t stop vomiting this morning. I don’t know why… But sensei already gave her some medicine, so I think she’s okay now…”
“Thank God… I’m-- Wait, she vomited??”
“Yes, she vomited in the bathroom even though there was nothing more she could throw out. I pitied her…”
Chinen ever read that in the first trimester of pregnancy, woman usually felt morning sickness and vomited in the morning.
Suzuka looked at him in confusion when he fell to his chair, blank expression on his face.

As their history teacher gave them some assignments, Chinen and Yuto went to library to borrow some history books. They planned to do the assignments in Yamada’s house right after school. When Chinen searched for a certain book, he saw Umika was too in the library, reading a book seriously.
He wanted to greet her and asked her if she was okay after that morning’s ‘nausea’. But she looked very serious, drown in the book she was reading. Curious, Chinen looked at the cover to know what title the book had.
How to Take Care of Your Pregnancy.
“Chinen?” Yuto asked his friend, who looked like someone had taken his soul out from his body.

Chinen didn’t have a gut to ask her. Heck, it was even hard to just talk to her. So he was just silent when both of them had a date on the park near her house.
“Yuri?” Umika was worried by his boyfriend’s act. “Something happened? You haven’t talked to me since we met fifteen minutes ago.”
He just shook his head and smiled nervously.
Umika shrugged it off and then continued walking with him around the park. Umika had glasses for disguise while Chinen was wearing a cap.
When they stopped at ice cream stand, they saw a lady with her baby boy wanting to get an ice cream too.
“Kawaii~!” Umika squealed when she looked at the baby boy. “Can I hold him, miss?”
“Of course!” The lady shone in delight and then gave her baby to Umika’s embrace.
“He’s soo cute~ Ne, Yuri?” she asked Chinen while pinching the baby’s cheek lightly.
He nodded in agreement.
“I want to have a baby, too~ Well, I will have one in my house, anyway.”
Umika gave the baby back to his mother and thanked her.
“Yuri, what flavor do you want?” she asked her wide-eyed boyfriend for the ice cream’s flavor.
“I-I… suddenly don’t want an ice cream, now…”
“Oh, okay then. I’ll just buy one. Mister, one vanilla ice cream, please.”
Umika peeked at her boyfriend while licking her ice cream.
“You’re weird today.”
Chinen didn’t respond her. Instead, he playfully kicked some stones that getting on his way.
“Okay…” she sighed to herself. “If you want to go home, then…”
“No, that’s not like it…”
“Then?”
“I’m…” he nervously scratched his cheek. “Actually… I want to ask if…“
“Yes?”
“I-If you… You… Ugh! I can’t!”
She raised one eyebrow, confused.
“Hey, why don’t we go shopping? I’ll treat you something,” Chinen changed the topic.
“Really?? Yay~! Let’s go!” Umika immediately forgot his weird antique and then dragged him away from the park.
They arrived at the closest shopping district. Umika grabbed his hand when they passed a certain shop.
“Let’s go here~!” she dragged him to enter the shop.
Chinen was looking at the inside of the shop. It was full of baby’s clothes and accessories.
“Um… Umika? Why we came here?”
But Umika ignored him. She instead approached some cute clothes for new born babies.
“Kawaii~! Yuri, is this cute?” she showed a small baby blue pajama to him.
“Y-Yeah, but…”
“Can we buy this? Pweeease~?” Umika attacked him with her puppy eyes.
“Eeeh?? What for??”
“I want this~!”
Chinen sighed. He gave up and willed to pay for it, making her squeal in happiness.
“She must be hiding something…” he thought as they got out from the shop.

He couldn’t stop thinking about his girlfriend. She acted weird, like gaining some weight, having a morning sickness, reading pregnancy books, and buying baby’s clothes. He knew there was something but he just simply couldn’t ask her. He was afraid if something indeed happened.
Yuto and Keito entered the HS7 dressing room, bringing a box of DVD with them.
“Guys, let’s watch a drama! I’m bored~”
“What drama do you bring, Yuto-kun?” Ryutaro asked while munching his ramen.
“Aiba-kun’s drama, My Girl!”
He turned on the player and then inserted the disc.
“I was crying hard when I watched this… Especially the scene when Koharu-chan cried together with Masamune-kun because they missed Yoko-san…” Yamada commented.
“Oooh me too!” Keito the crybaby responded.
“It’s really heart-clenching… Can you imagine when your girlfriend suddenly left you but then six years later she died, leaving you with your 5-years-old daughter you didn’t even know??” Yuto held his heart with both hands.
“I can’t imagine if it happened to me…” Keito shook his head.
“If I were Masamune, I would definitely ask her before she left. Therefore, why didn’t she just tell him the truth?”
“You’re so cold, Ryutaro! Of course he wouldn’t know if she was pregnant or not! And Yoko-san was thinking about Masamune’s sake, since he was still in high school!”
“Yuto is right! She didn’t want him to have the great responsibility so she left him! I know it was wrong, but I really understand her feeling!”
“You guys really got into that drama, huh?” Yamada commented at Yuto’s, Keito’s and Ryutaro’s antics.
“Ehehehe… Yeah well, because it was something that can happen in our life…” Yuto scratched his head, embarrassed.
“But if you don’t do anything with your girlfriend, you’re safe, right?”
“…you’re right…” everybody agreed with the hamster boy. Well, except one boy.
“Hey Chinen, we haven’t heard anything from you!” Yuto nudged Chinen’s side.
Chinen was silent, drown into his own thoughts. He listened to his friends but his mind was going somewhere.
In his mind was Umika, walking around in the park while holding a small creature in her embrace. That creature had a face that was exactly the same like him, only it was in smaller version.
“Yuri, look! Our son really looks like his father…!” Umika smiled to him, fondling the baby in her arms gently.
“Oooi Chinen!” Yamada waved his hands in front of Chinen’s face. “Stop daydreaming, will ya!”
Chinen was startled, awakened from his imagination.
“You know, Chinen has been weird since yesterday. He often got pale when I mentioned something about Umika, and he likes to daydream like this,” Yuto said.
“What happened?” Keito asked the boy.
Chinen just shook his head, not wanting to tell his worries to his bandmates.
“By the way, have you heard that Umika-chan will go to study abroad? Maybe you have since you’re her boyfriend…”
He snapped his head to Yuto, “Whaaaaat???”
“Eeh you haven’t heard? Well, I overheard from teacher’s room that Umika-chan is planning to go to America…”
Chinen was reminded to My Girl drama that Yoko was too planning to study abroad and left Masamune, but it was only to cover the fact that actually she was pregnant with his baby.
“No waaaaay!!!” Chinen got up from the sofa and rushed outside. His bandmates just looked at him in confusion.
Yamada gave a sharp glare to Yuto, who was giving his toothy grin to him.

Chinen kept running and running to Umika’s house. But after he arrived, there were nobody in her house since the gate was locked. Panting, he reached for his phone and dialed her number.
“H-Hello?” he could hear her sobbing on the other side.
“Umika!! Where are yo-- Hey, what happened??”
“Yuri…” she sobbed. “Baby-chan…”
“B-baby-chan?”
“Baby-chan has gone…!!!”
What he feared the most had become true. He fought back the tears that began to swell on his eyes.
“W-Where are you now?”
“I’m in hospital…”
“Okay, wait for me there.”
“No, I’m leaving right now. Just meet me at the usual place…”
He hung up his phone and then rushed to their place in the park where nobody knew about it. It was a place of a big tree planted on it. They often got there just to meet each other or just to hang out together.
When he got there, Umika already sat under the tree, hugging her knees. Her eyes were red from crying.
Chinen immediately hugged her, tears finally flew from his eyes.
“I’m sorry… I’m really sorry… I didn’t know anything…”
“Yuri… I had been waiting for Baby-chan… B-But now he’s gone…” she cried on his shoulder.
“I’m sorry, Umika… I’m such an irresponsible boyfriend… I was just too insensitive with your condition… I must have known that you were carrying our baby…”
With that Umika stopped crying.
“I must have known it… I must have asked it to you earlier… Damn, why was I too scared…?”
“Eh?” Umika looked up to him.
“You were pregnant but I didn’t know it… I’ve let you suffer, I’m sorry…”
“P-Pregnant?? You thought I was pregnant?? How??”
Chinen blinked once. Twice.
“Well, you had morning sickness sometime ago… You gained some weight and got bump in your belly… At library I saw you reading book about pregnancy… And then you said you would have a baby in your house and all… You even bought baby’s clothes with me yesterday…”
Umika stared at him in disbelief. Then she poked his forehead.
“Baka!”
He touched the part where she had poked. “Eh?”
“I never got pregnant!! The one who got pregnant was my cousin!”
“…..and then the Baby-chan?”
“Baby-chan was the name I gave for the baby my cousin was carrying!”
Chinen’s jaw dropped.
“My cousin got miscarriage so she had to lose her baby… I was so sad because I was really waiting for my new nephew…”
“So… The baby that was going to be in your house was…?”
“My cousin’s! She would stay in my house!”
“B-But… What about your morning sickness? And about a bump in your belly?? And about you reading pregnancy books?? And about you buying baby’s clothes??”
She poked his forehead once again.
“Should I explain all to you? Okay. That morning I was vomiting because I drank expired milk from my refrigerator… It was so disgusting that I couldn’t stop vomiting… For a bump in my belly, it was because I was getting fatter! I’m on diet right now… I read a pregnancy book because I want to help my cousin taking care of her pregnancy! And last… I bought baby’s clothes of course for my cousin too!!”
Chinen slumped on the ground, sighing in relieved.
“Geez, Yuri. Thinking that I was pregnant with your baby was…” Umika too sat beside him.
“Oh, Umika… Don’t you know how relieved I am now?”
“No, but I know that you’re very cute…” she chuckled softly.
“I was scared, okay! That night I didn’t use any protection so everything might happen!”
She blushed by this.
“What if… I really got pregnant? What would you do?”
“…I don’t know. Really. Thinking about our parents, school, Johnny, Hey!Say!JUMP, NYC, our fans… I… Well, of course I would do something for you, but… That would be hard for both of us…”
Umika rested her head on his shoulder.
And then he was reminded by something.
“I almost forgot! Umika, are you really going to America??”
“America? Who said that?”
“Yuto said you would go to study abroad to America! Is that true?? Umika, tell me! I was so scared because if you were really pregnant you would keep the baby yourself without telling me!”
“No, silly. I’m going nowhere. Why Yuto-kun said that?”
“I don’t know!”
And then he received a short message from Yuto.
Chii, I’m sorry~! I lied to you because you were so weird! But I didn’t expect you would react like that! I thought you would just call her or something… Once again I’m sorry~! Yama-chan is scolding me right now… >,<
“That guy…” Chinen inserted his phone back to his pocket. ”I’m going to kill him later.”
“He lied?”
“Yeah… Just because he said I was weird, he played a prank at me…”
She laughed as Chinen was pouting.
“Umika, I’m really sorry for your cousin…”
“Thanks… I know this is really hard for her…”
“But I’m relieved it was not you.”
“…me too.”
“I promise it will never happen, since I’ll use protection for the next time.”
“If yo-- Whaaat?? Next time?? T-There will be next time??”
She blushed at his statement. He just tilted his head to the side while smiling innocently.
