weekend events
had a good time in ark city despite the 90 mile an hour winds we experienced all weekend!
urthling had a good time playing with her cousins. mom's face is finally looking asymmetrical if she isn't talking or eating.
didn't get good sleep fri. night-urthling wanted to nurse and nurse and in and out of bed.
thebcman had one of his more exciting mornings-the storm two weekends ago really hit ark city hard. dad had thebcman get in the bucket of the front loader and raised him up to pull down the broken branches. a little later he came back and asked for thebcman again because he found a limb on the power line down to the well house. he showed thebcman how to run the front loader. my dear husband asked to practice before dad got in with a chain saw but dad wasn't worried. apparently it all went well because both are still alive with all limbs intact.
mom's getting fed up with jussie's dog reily. reily 's been fighting with stella. the urthling was petting stella and i guess riely attacked stella. urthling was fine. the kids ran in saying there was a dog fight and stella was winning, but it seemed to be a draw.
tried to go fishing that afternoon at the lake-but it was too windy to cast the line. after a bit, the urthling came to where i was sitting with my pole and wanted to hold it. then she got mad when i wouldn't let her fling it around. it dawned on me that she wanted to cast the pole! so i gave her an unused pole and she had a great time flipping the tip in the lake-that is until it got stuck on the reeds.
over to the in-laws-it was worse in ark city that at my parents-everyone had a brush pile fence in their front yards. not much happened there except for me getting to read. did get a good night's sleep. the urthling nursed, got into her bed and slept despite the night light right there by her head. woke up once to nurse then back in bed. then her normal 4 am nursing. it was also around that time that aunt flo arrived-how rude.
got home to find 2 messages from samantha. when i got a pencil and paper to listen more carefully i find that she is in wichita, is in some sort of situation, would like to talk, needs some support-never left me a phone number to call her back at. now i'm rather worried about her. i know she had some difficulty with her boyfriend (she's new agey, he's pretty devout christian). i hope things didn't turn bad for her. last i knew she was in arkansas with him so what was she doing in wichita? only thing i could do was send her an email and hope she gets it but she doesn't check email with any frequency.
