So tonight was our Pathfinder game. It was a good game, even if we (I) did kill the person we were supposed to be finding and returning to her father. In a way it's her own fault, she did try to climb out a window when we entered her room. Of course ahe was engaged in unlawful carnal knowledge of her fiance's sister when we entered her room, with her fiance in tow. We've also got a fourth player for the group. So now the party consists of a
tiefling magus (my character), a
tengu paladin (our only female player), a
goblin rogue/
alchemist, and a
half-orc monk (the new guy). Of course we also have a whopping 58 gold piece bounty on our heads, as the fiance blames us for his fiance's and his sister's death. On the one hand I'm somewhat insulted the bounty is so low, on the other hand a higher bounty might attract bounty hunters we couldn't dispatch with ease. We also leveled up (to level 6), and I've finally got
Flamboyant Arcana. Which I have been waiting for and looking forward to. I'm really looking forward to next weeks game. It'll be Friday again.
In other news, I'll be wearing a brace on my right wrist for a while. It seems I have tendinitis, and need to keep my wrist immobilized until heals. I've actually had it over a month, but I only got it diagnosed a couple weeks ago, because that's when I saw my doctor (and it wasn't paindul enough to go in just for it). I was somewhat relived as I was worried it was carpel tunnel. I didn't get a brace til last Saturday. The VA didn't give me one, even though my doctor told me to wear one, and last Saturday was the first time we found one in our price range. I figure I'll wear it til July, then see if it still hurts. This does put a crimp in the weight training portion of my workout routine. At least it would if I could wake up to go workout. Unfortunately I'm not waking up. I may have to invest in an actual alarm clock because the alarm on my tablet is too gentle to really wake me up. Most of the time I shut it off without waking up enough to realize I'm supposed to be getting up. Also a real alarm clock I could put out of reach to force me to get out of bed. I can't do that with the tablet because then I doubt it would wake me up at all. I was gonna try drinking extra water when I wake up in the middle of the night to void my bladder except that since I had that idea I haven't been waking up in the middle of the night.
Cha found a part-time job tutoring athletes at Tech. It's only a few hours a week, but at least it's some income. Hopefully we can keep our bills paid til August, that's when she should have a regular job again. I'm still working at the Texas Tech libraey Special Collections. I'm due for an evaluation, and (hopefully) a small raise. Even though a $.25/hour raise would only be an extra $4.75 a week, which will come out to about $10.29 a paycheck, at least it would be something. The only problem is Cha's tutoring is at 9 in the morning, which means we have to leave by 8:30. This means I have to get up at 6am to work out, and I wasn't able to wake up at 8am. I'll figure something out. I hope.
I watched the 2015 remake of Poltergeist a few nights ago. In my opinion it wasn't as scary as the original. Of course I was only ten when I saw the original. I'll also concede the clown was creepier in the remake.
I guess I'm too excited to go to sleep. I find I want to stay up, even though I'm sleepy. I have no need to stay up. I sent Gozz an im detailing tonight's adventure. I levelled up my character. That caused a little confusion, because after adding his new spells on his character sheet, I picked out the new spells I want for next level. Then when I went to update the spell tracker (a different app) I forgot those were the spells for the next level. Anyway, apart from a new feat, I think I'll take a look at what abilities my character gains at 7th level.
