Packing like a madman. I'd hoped to spend much of last week packing, after a trip to Boulder where I found what looks like a very nice place. (Good location, good---or as-good-as-I'll-get---price, apparently-sane roommate, etc.) I came back to SLC on the 29th, in order to testify in court, which is another story entirely. I'd hoped to get my things in order during the previous week, but as usual I moved slowly early on, only to be hit by a trainwreck of things to do today.
But I'm making progress. Books are done. Files are done. Computer is taken down, and ready to go. Linens just need to be packed into my trunk. What little furniture will be coming with me to Boulder is broken down and ready to go. All that's left is clothing. Well, clothing, and the inevitable box or two worth of random stuff that I'll find that I've overlooked.
Then we get to see what stuff will fit into my station wagon, and what I'll entrust to Dad to drive to Colorado in a week. And also decide whether it makes sense to take advantage of IKEA's cheap prices but unfortunate location. (How is it that they have a store in SLC but not Denver?)
Wish me luck. A week from now, I should be settled in, waiting for CU orientation to start.
And job-hunting. Can't forget that.
