various sundries
1.) Little sister forwarded me the link for this slideshow of John Galliano's Spring 2006 line. I'm usually not much for Galliano- I find his designs bleak and unflattering, for the most part- but this particular show was like a Circus of Awesome. Note the plus-sized, minus-sized, old and hirsute models. I'd like to see more runways like this.
2.) In related news, is there a modeling agency setting up in Belltown? The number of tall, well-if-boringly-dressed young men with haute-r-than-thou facial expressions seems to have exponentially increased in the past few days and it's pissing me off. Bitches need to be checked, if you know what I mean.
3.) I have new glasses. I also dyed my hair last weekend. It's redder than I'd like and is, also, pissing me off. I wanted to go back to the dark brown with strand highlights I got in July, but strand highlights would look stupid with this color. Also, trimmed bangs myself as a stop-gap measure, but I really really need a haircut.
4.) Grains of Paradise (a pepper-like spice from West Africa) are brilliant. Apparently Sam Adams and Bombay Sapphire Gin use them, but I'd like to infuse some bourbon or something a little more mellow than gin or vodka to bring out the coconut aroma that they have. Side note to self: bourbon over peach sorbet with ground Grains of Paradise was a beautiful thing, if highly detrimental to crocheting skills. I love you, me.
5.) Am currently 'studying' for the LSAT on the 4th. Analytical problems still giving me trouble. Hints, anyone?
