Sunny day rock balances

Apr 23, 2007 06:22

Earlier this week rockbalancer and I balanced rocks during our lunch break.

This one used the heaviest rocks I've used in a balance yet.

I seem to be developing a rock balancing style, with a lot of animal shapes suggested.

One of the great things about rock balancing is that it gives you something to do as you sit quietly outside, and allows for a lot of wildlife observation. As we were balancing, a kestrel landed a few yards away and called from on top of a cavity nesting box, and loudly yelling killdeer joined one another in a nearby field. Tree swallows flew all around us.
