The Fair

Yesterday was the last day of the state fair, and the only day I went, because Weird Al was playing. Unfortunately, I was a little disappointed with the sound quality for his mic during the first part of the concert. He sang a number of songs I'd never heard before which were parodies of songs I'd never heard, so without strong sound for the vocals, I really couldn't tell what he was saying or if it was funny or not. Later, the sound quality improved, and he did some older stuff (plus the very recent James Blunt parody that he was distributing online.) That part of the show was good.

vampyrecat and vajrabot: apparently the hullabaloo as we were leaving was because there had been several fights and possibly a stabbing. Vivian says she saw it on the news.

Other things I saw at the fair that were interesting:
  1. a Dr. Seuss exhibit;
  2. a chair made out of thousands of tiny teddy bears;
  3. a tower made out of bones;
  4. a replica of The Devil's Tower, made out of army men;
  5. sourdough pizza.
