I'm falling back into this strange pattern. Last year I was a sophomore in high school -- I learned then that you actually had to *gasp* WORK to get good grades. Still, I was pretty lazy the entire year. However, when fourth quarter rolled around, I turned in every homework assignment possible and studied for every test. My fourth quarter GPA was something around a 3.4 or something.
Now I'm in the fourth quarter of my junior year. I've been lazy again, all year. Not studying, not turning in my assignments, that sort of thing. But now, ever since fourth quarter started, I've been turning in all my assignments. I think I've got A's and B's in most of my classes, except for social justice -- and before you ask me how it's possible to do badly in a religion class, Ms. Steiert is a flipping Nazi -- and I'm following the same pattern this year. Will I have to follow this pattern next year again, leaving my mark as a lazy senior who only shapes up when it matters? Hmmmm. Good stuff to think about.
Also -- seeing as I start spring break after sixth period tomorrow, I WILL clean my room. I've been meaning to do it for about two weeks now but never really got around to it.
Due to what? Yes, procrastination. Which reminds me, I have three things to work on for after spring break, two of them being pretty hefty projects. I swear, some teachers just assume that the planes we travel on to go wherever we need to go for spring break have the awesome capacity for presentation boards. Weirdos.
Anyway, enough ranting. I bought myself a charcoal sketchbook a few days ago. I'd like to try experimenting with the medium; I never tried it before.
