lots of sweat. After a lot of hassle I ended up in a shitty, broken down rehersal room on the east side of Oslo. In Norwegian terms, it's the "rough" side. You know, where there aren't that many trees and you might actually, if you try really hard and know the password, buy drugs if you so wish. So, you know, it's like King's Cross on a tuesday afternoon. Why on earth the east side is put down as "rough" I'll never know. Probably because there are a lot of immigrant families there. Hah, that's institutionalised racism for you. Anyway, I digress.
I've started a new band! It's called... Well, we thought up some names, but I've forgotten them now. We played CRASHING POST-ROCK on acoustics and electrics and half-broken drums and it sounded like walls coming down. Walls coming down to really complex drum patterns, mind.
Next week I'm off to see Red Sparowes (woo), going on a boat trip across the Oslo fjord, and doing an article about a guy in France, if I can sort the details out. I'm sure I'll get a picture of the fjord or something, people always seem to love fjords.
